Sales Manager (Johannesburg & Durban)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and coordinate the work of the sales department and ensure that the service provided to customers is of quality and satisfactory to the best of their expectations.
- Develop and ensure the quality of communication between the Sales department and FTL's Operations departments.
- Secure Sales, make profit and retain customers.
- Perform sales visits as may be required.
- Develop commercial strategy in line with company’s objectives.
- Follow up and ensure reporting and CRM updated accordingly.
Profile
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in various freight departments including ocean and air operations (import and export) and sales,
OR
- Matric + 4 with specialization in International Trade / Logistics & a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position with a freight forwarder, shipping line or other company operating in this field.
- Training in Leadership & Management is an advantage.
- A driver's license is essential.
