FTL is a joint venture among three reputable groups of companies specialising in distinct activities:

Food & Allied Group

Founded more than four decades ago, the Food & Allied Group of Companies has become a major player in the Mauritian economy over the years. The group now counts about thirty companies in Mauritius and the region and employs more than 3,000 people.

A pioneer in the poultry industry in the sixties, the group has since then diversified into food distribution and marketing, flour milling, dairy processing, fruit and vegetable canning, KFC franchises, hotels and IT services as well as freight forwarding and customs clearance among others.

Today, the group is organised in six divisions namely Industry, Animal Production, Commercial, Shipping, Business Services and Hotels.

GML

GML is one of the major economic player in the Indian Ocean: leader of the “Top 100” Mauritian companies and in the premier groups of the Indian Ocean.
A Mauritian group, originating from two family holdings: Mon Loisir Compagnie Ltée MLCL and Compagnie d’Investissement et de Développement Limitée CIDL, which changed into GML Ineo Ltée and GML Investissement Ltée following the rebranding in 2010.

GML is active in key sectors of the Mauritian economy. It represents in 2010 a portfolio of approximately 300 subsidiaries and associated companies. With a turnover of MUR 18 billion (about 456 million Euros) as at June 30th 2010, GML has more than 10,000 employees and contributes up to 9.1% to the GDP in Mauritius.

GML is also a group responsible and conscious to follow the values and standards of sustainability. It has also established in 2005 the GML Fondation Joseph Lagesse, adopted a Sustainability Policy and created its Environment Program GML “Think Green”.

Mechanical Transport Limited

Mechanical Transport Co Ltd, incorporated in the year 1972, is a reference in the heavy transport industry in Mauritius and the Indian Ocean region. The company counts around 120 employees, and has an annual turnover of Rs 100 M.
